NEW INTERNET HORIZON

Reviving the Spirit of the Original Internet

Inspired by Internet pioneers Vint Cerf and Bob Kahn, our mission echoes the foundational spirit of the Internet: open, decentralized, and deeply cooperative. As Bob Kahn emphasized, the future of the Internet is society's creation. Today, our digital landscape is fraught with trust issues, from the spread of misinformation to challenges in assessing online reliability. But as Vint Cerf highlighted, effective governance is key, which encompasses not only systems but the human touchpoint in every digital interaction.

Our trajectory is clear: Transitioning from mere technological evolution to a more holistic societal progress. We champion community-driven governance and the emergence of democratically-guided Community Living Labs which can evolve towards community-owned digital cooperatives. Our focus? Ensuring an Internet that's people-centric, inclusive, and truly resonant with societal values.

New Internet Horizon Roadmap

1. Upholding Information Integrity

Prioritizing trustworthy online content to combat misinformation by building collectively the The European Content Trust Seal Platform (ECTS) based on Diamond Quality Protocol (DQP).

  2. Strengthening Community Collaboration

Fostering unity among all Internet stakeholders through Community Living Labs (CLLs).

  3. Promoting Cooperative Governance

Anchoring future developments in a community-led governance model.

  4. Advancing Data Stewardship

Emphasizing equitable data-sharing practices, grounded in values of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI).

Be a Pillar of Change

Your contribution is highly needed to deploy this ambition at a global scale and in a collective approach! The first step consists in addressing the online editorial content quality issue and setting up the ECTS platform. Rooted in the rigorous standards of academic publishing and resonating with the Diamond Open Access model, it stands as a testament to this shift from a technological approach to a community-driven and people-centric internet.

We need you, your expertise, or your financial contribution to forge a trusted, quality-driven internet!

We will present preliminary findings at the United Nations Summit of the Future in September 2024.
